Every event at Presidium is an opportunity for students to showcase their talents and capabilities and learn new skills. The programmes we organise include Annual Day Celebration, Republic Day Celebration, Annual Sports Meet, Pongal Celebration and many other festive activities. Apart from the display of talents, one can also witness the inclination towards creating a better society in the stage shows performed by students. Such initiatives by us makes the whole event a cherished experience for school staff as well as parents.
We conduct Fancy Dress Competition for the students. The purpose of conducting the competition was not only to blend learning with fun but also to develop confidence in the students by giving them the opportunity to get on the stage and speak in front of the audience.
Pride and festive cheer marked the Thai Pongal celebration held on 12th January 2019 at SRISHTI INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, Chennai. Students came in their traditional dresses and exhibited joy and pride as they filled the campus with the land’s cultural aura. The Department of Tamil organized a plethora of programmes for the entertainment of the students. The programme commenced with hearing of God’s word, followed by prayer and prayer song. A graceful Bharathanatyam dance welcomed the audience. A short skit about the customs followed during Pongal, Facts about Thiruvalluvar and Thirukurals, Popular folk songs added excitement amongst the audience. Our children of Grade 1,grade 2 revived the festivity in a village with their colourful folk dance.
Republic Day is celebrated on 26th January every year. It is one of the India’s most important national events. On the Republic Day, the constitution of India came into force and India became a truly Sovereign, Democratic and Republic state. The Constitution was drafted by the Constituent Assembly which was set up when India gained its independence from the British in 1947.
